Old goths don't die. We just dress that way.
Goth Chick Appreciation Day
As authoress Jennifer Susannah Devore (a.k.a. JennyPop) takes a moment to celebrate October 13th (a.k.a. Goth Chick Appreciation Day), she would like to remind you, fair reader, this is the day to commemorate "those ladies, young and old, with a penchant for the macabre and twisted. Not your average, hair-twirling, dim-witted twits, they are the cultured, refined, poetic enigmas that make life worth living," as best-described by the inimitable Foamy the Squirrel. As JennyPop is busy prepping for Halowe'en, studying her Dutch language and bruising her shins with diligent, Irish step-dancing lessons, she would further remind you, should you have a Goth Chick in your life - old, young, former, current - gift her today with a nice, pumpkin candle, some incense, any jet-bead jewelry, some new dark lipstick or maybe a nice, vintage cocktail hat ... black velvet, obviously.
Remember, as it regards Foamy the Squirrel's recommended GCAD sacrifices, if cheerleaders are not readily available in your area, pinatas can be substituted for cheerleaders. It's not as fun, but it is less messy and there is no liability.
Happy Goth Chick Appreciation Day to all you fellow poetic enigmas!
